Services

  1. It starts with a need. An idea, a process that keeps getting stuck, or a wish that has no shape yet.
  2. Understand first. Then plan. Together we work out who it is for, what it should do and how it should come across.
  3. Design and technology in one piece. What looks good has to work, too. So both take shape together, visible step by step.
  4. It all fits together. Website, brand, photos and processes: from the first idea to everyday use, all from a single source.

Profile

I’m René Schalli, a full-stack developer and media designer based in Villach.

I work as a software engineer at Anexia while also working independently and developing products of my own.

My background spans IT systems, fiber-optic infrastructure and B2B support through to full-stack development. I also built my own mead brand from the ground up — including the product, branding, photography and online store. That combination of engineering, design and entrepreneurial thinking continues to shape my work today.

Your idea as the next project? You bring the idea, I build it – from the website to the software that runs your business.

Lab

Ideas of my own, built for the fun of it. This is where I try out new technology and design – what proves itself goes into my client work.

Asgardareid: A website you walk through

EXP_01 · IN PROGRESS · REMIX, GSAP, PIXIJS, BLENDER

QUESTION
Can a Viking society’s website feel like a graphic novel you step into?
EXPERIMENT
You sail in by longship through the fjord up to the village square. The scenes are partly real photos that an AI turns into the graphic-novel style, staged with GSAP.
TAKEAWAY → FOR YOU
Motion needs a budget: 2 MB for the first screen. That way a site impresses without being slow.

SCHALLI.DEV: A cube made of cubes

EXP_02 · IN PROGRESS · WEBGL2, JAVASCRIPT, PHP

QUESTION
How much can a browser do on its own, without any third-party libraries?
EXPERIMENT
A WebGL engine of my own: every page is a wall of cubes, and navigating rolls it over the edge. No framework, no external script.
TAKEAWAY → FOR YOU
Fewer dependencies mean fewer things that can break. Your software stays fast and maintainable.

Cinema Machine: Camera language for AI video

EXP_03 · MVP · REACT, TYPESCRIPT, SUPABASE, CLAUDE

QUESTION
How do you get cinematographer vocabulary into AI video tools without being a cinematographer?
EXPERIMENT
Over 850 film terms in 23 categories to pick from. They become the right prompt for each platform, and a Chrome extension inserts it directly.
TAKEAWAY → FOR YOU
Expertise belongs in the interface. Then your team needs no experts – the software guides them.

ArtistHub: The website that keeps itself up to date

EXP_04 · MVP · TELEGRAM, HONO, ASTRO, CLAUDE / GEMINI

QUESTION
Can an artist keep their website current without ever opening an admin panel?
EXPERIMENT
A Telegram bot takes it all: the AI turns one sentence into a date, writes the bio, tends the gallery. Then the site rebuilds itself.
TAKEAWAY → FOR YOU
Updates happen where you already are: in the chat. With no hurdle, the site stays current.

SkalGain: Training with a safety limit

EXP_05 · IN PROGRESS · KOTLIN, JETPACK COMPOSE, ROOM, ANDROID

QUESTION
Can an app guide training so you keep at it regularly instead of overdoing it?
EXPERIMENT
A native Android app for the plan, sets with a rest timer, nutrition and daily values. Progress stays within fixed limits, and it all runs offline.
TAKEAWAY → FOR YOU
Where mistakes are costly, every calculation is under test – over 1,000 here. So your team can rely on the numbers.
